About the Speaker
Dr. Hassanet Al Taher Boulaabi is a seasoned food safety and public health professional with over 18 years of experience across government and industry sectors. She currently serves at Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, where she specializes in risk communication and community engagement within the Food Safety Department. Her expertise covers risk communication, food safety regulation, and quality management systems, and she also contributes as an MOPH internal auditor for ISO 9001. She actively contributed to the awarding of the PHAB accreditation, as well as to the implementation of both the Public Health Strategy 2017–2022 and the National Health Strategy 2 (2018–2022). Before joining Qatar’s MOPH, Dr. Boulaabi held leadership positions at Tunisia’s National Agency for the Health and Environmental Control of Products – Ministry of Health, as well as in the food industry. She holds bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and master’s degree in epidemiology, and she is a certified IRCA Lead Auditor for FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001.
